Yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience. Slow & Supported at Total Being Yoga is a gentle, thoughtfully guided class that focuses on caring for both the body and mind. Whether you're managing an injury, navigating illness, experiencing changes in mobility, or simply looking for a slower approach to yoga, this class offers a welcoming place to move, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
Each class combines gentle movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness, with an emphasis on comfort, stability, and moving within your own abilities. Postures can be adapted using chairs, blocks, bolsters, and other props to provide additional support where needed.
Rather than focusing on how a pose should look, we'll explore how movement feels in your body. The practice encourages mobility, balance, strength, and relaxation while also making room for the mental and emotional benefits of yoga.
This class is brain injury friendly and supportive for neurodivergent students and for people living with chronic illness or disability. This class truly is for all walks of life. It's especially helpful for those recovering from injuries, living with chronic health conditions, experiencing limited mobility, or returning to movement after time away. It's equally suited to anyone who wants a gentle, supportive practice without the pressure of keeping up with a faster-paced class.
You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or able to get down on the floor to participate. Modifications and alternatives are offered so you can practice in a way that works for you.
