Yin Yang Yoga

Yin/Yang Yoga in Mint Hill, NC

A little movement, a little stillness, and a balance of both. Our Monday evening Yin & Yang class at Total Being Yoga brings together the active energy of Yang and the quieter, more restorative qualities of Yin. With an approach influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine, this class explores the relationship between movement, breath, and the changing needs of the body.

What you'll practice

The Yang portion of class uses gentle, breath-led movement to build warmth, strength, and mobility. From there, you'll transition into longer-held Yin postures, allowing time to settle into each shape, explore sensation, and work with the body's connective tissues.

Drawing from the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice may also explore seasonal changes, energy pathways, and the balance between activity and rest. The class is seasonally focused, and themes change through the year.

Who Yin/Yang is for

This class is a great fit for anyone who enjoys a little movement alongside deeper stretching and stillness. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you'll have the opportunity to explore both sides of your practice without feeling rushed.

Join us Mondays at 5:30 PM at our Mint Hill studio.
